Importing firecrackers is not so easy; there are certain rules and strict regulatory standards involved. Unfortunately, India is not capable of meeting those regulations, apart from that the unsuitable storage and inadequate shipping facilities are making it impossible for exporting. It is quite sad that we are not able to provide the shipping standards even though having a proud place in this Industry and this is the best way of ignoring foreign revenue.
No One Has the License to Import Fireworks
Director General of Foreign Trades has categorized fireworks under restrictive items. The Petroleum & Explosive Safety Organization (PESO) is restricted granting a license for importing from foreign countries such as China, United States, Spain, Germany and other few. So, it is legally announced that anything you import or buy from other countries is illegal.
India has banned importing and exporting firecrackers! Importing crackers from China is illegal due to the chemical used in the crackers as they bring more problems and highly dangerous to health, apart from that children get affected easily with these deadly chemicals.
